It was a brisk early January night. 2023 had just incepted, full of hope, new leaves, and fresh starts. For us, it was no different... excited for 2023, looking for what the new year would bring. We had been fumbling around on Bumble, a dating app, for a few months now, somewhat apathetically evading love's sting. Savannah opened the Bumble app on a Friday night, scrolling through the only viable options of Nashville, when she saw Chris.... "Oh! A Handsome guy who is ACTUALLY 6'1" holding a glass of bourbon and is wearing an ascot? Say less..." Sav knew just from his photos that Chris already had the BEST energy, kind eyes, and looked like a blast. A few hours later, Chris returned home to his cold, lonely apartment. In his nightly catch-up on social media, he opened Bumble, and he saw Sav... a smile that lights up the world, and funny enough, Chris was attracted to the fact that Sav loved wearing all of her accessories in her closet at one time... We Matched!

Chris, knowing that Savannah had been a bartender for a long time, took her to a swanky speakeasy-vibe cocktail lounge in Nashville, the Patterson House. We also shared a love of sushi and shut down Virago that night, and we continue to go there every year for our Christmas together. We capped off our first night together at Chris' apartment with a bottle of wine, where Sav proceeded to look into Chris' eyes and say "Please don't change..."

We proceeded to see each other 14 of the next 19 days. Over those first few weeks, each met the other's entire immediate families, bonded over shared favorite ice cream flavors, and fell into a feeling of comfort and safety with destiny.
